Lunch with McKee: On the first Wednesday of every month, St. Andrew’s provides lunch for the Seniors at the McKee Center. If you are willing to provide a dish or dessert (recipes provided), or to help serve, indicate this on the tear-off section and drop it into the offering plate. The McKee center is a part of Skyline Urban Ministries, located at 500 SE 15th. The Center provides a wholesome meal to needy seniors and would greatly appreciate your service in this ministry. Skyline Urban Ministry, incorporated in 1974, is a mission of the Oklahoma Conference of the United Methodist Church. St. Andrew's regularly provides donations for the Skyline McKee Center clothes closet. The large wooden bin in the north entryway of the Ministry Training Center has been placed there for you to deposit your donations of clothing, household items, non-perishable food items, toys, linens, and etc. Items should be clean and in wearable or usable condition.
The McKee Center also provides lunch and activities for local senior citizens on a fixed income. Lunches are donated by area United Methodist Churches. St. Andrew's UMW group has taken lunch on several different occasions. Perhaps your group or Sunday School class would like to take lunch as your mission project.
