Laura Aldridge, Director of Congregational Care, 405-692-4242, ext. #106.
Prayer Ministry - Recognizing that prayer is the most powerful resource we have as Christians, we at St. Andrew’s encourage and lift up prayer warriors on every front. The back bone of our prayer ministry is the prayer chain, which is available 24 hours a day for immediate prayer support. This dedicated team is a tremendous support for people in need inside and outside our congregation. If you have a prayer need please call the church office at 692-4242 or link on to the web site below which will go directly to our Director of Membership & Congregational Care, Laura Aldridge.
Meal Ministry - The Meal Ministry prepares and delivers meals to families in case of a death, illness, surgery or a new baby. This may mean one meal or a month of meals depending on the circumstance.
Note Writing Ministry - The members of this ministry are responsible for sending out notes of congratulations, support, encouragement, or sympathy to friends within the congregation and throughout the community.
Family Life Ministry - This ministry is in place to meet the special needs of the members of our congregation in cases such as a terminally ill family member, or the unexpected responsibility of an elderly parent, or any other situation where they feel help and encouragement is needed.
Farewell Ministry - It is the responsibility of this ministry to keep track of those who will be moving and leaving the St. Andrew’s church family. This committee will arrange for their farewell send-off during their last Sunday and to recognize them for their contributions to our congregation. We are a family at St. Andrew’s and we hate to see anyone leave, but when they do we want to send them off with our love and encouragement.
Baptism Ministry - Due to time constraints and personal preferences, many of our infant, child, and adult baptisms are held after our last service on Sunday. The Baptism Ministry members work behind the scenes to make sure that the atmosphere for these baptisms is holy and reverent, and that the day is a special one for the family.
College Care Ministry - As our youth prepare to leave for college each year, our College Care Team goes into action. Each college student is sent off in the fall with a special treat and lots of love. The team continues working through out the school year to support these students through prayer, e-mails, cards, and even visits. Twice a year, during finals, care packages that are individually tailored to the student, are hand delivered with great care and much encouragement. Our students are the envy of the dorm!
Stephen Ministry - The Stephen Ministry is a program within our congregation that equips lay persons to provide distinctively Christian one-to-one care to those who are experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances, in both our congregation and the community. These volunteers have gone through extensive training and work under rules of strict confidentiality. In most cases their support is long term.

Our first St. Andy’s men’s retreat is scheduled for April 13-14 at Cross Point Camp in beautiful SE Oklahoma near Lake Texoma. It will be based on a study inspired by the hit movie “Courageous” which we’ll show in its entirety followed by lessons on different aspects of the movie. The “Honor Begins at Home” study is actually 8 lessons long, but we will only cover 3 at the retreat with the others to follow on successive Sundays in a host home. We should finish the lessons by lunch on Saturday and would then have Saturday afternoon for fun (golf, fishing, etc..) or to just return home as desired. The cost for the retreat is $55 which covers room and board as well as the study guide. If you’d like to be a part of this exciting study on Christian fatherhood and family leadership contact David Johnson at 692-4242, ext. 105 or Gordon Loveless at 250-7798 to reserve your place. We have room for 30 men total.
We’d also like to invite all men to come to our monthly men’s breakfast on Saturday, April 21, at 8:00am in the CLC (C8-9). There will be great food and even better company and discussion. For questions regarding the UMM, contact president Steve Henson at 692-8341.
